From May 26–31, Athens becomes a vibrant gathering place for choral artists as Dr. Michael Joseph Barrett hosts an international festival in partnership with Firebird Fine Arts Tours. An internationally respected conductor, educator, and composer, Barrett is known for his collaborative spirit, bold musical imagination, and ability to inspire singers across cultures and experience levels. Drawing on a career that spans six continents and award-winning ensembles, he brings a globally informed and deeply human approach to music-making in one of the world’s most historically resonant cities.
This Athens festival is built around connection between singers, cultures, and musical traditions and culminates in a powerful final performance shaped by Barrett’s dynamic leadership.
